Fillings

Fillings replace an area of the tooth removed due to decay.  Silver amalgam and composite resin are the two most common materials used depending on each patient's individual needs.

Benefit and Description: Restoration is needed after tooth decay (cavity) is removed. The decay is removed and replaced with a resin or amalgam substance to restore the function and look of your tooth.

Treatment: Decay is detected during a routine office visit. The decay can be removed and the restoration completed in one subsequent visit.
