Restorative Services

Also called a "caps", crowns are used to restore a teeth that can no longer hold fillings.

Benefit and Description: Crowns are made of porcelain, gold, or other materials, and they are designed to a shape that fits your specific need. Crowns can restore teeth to their original shape after decay or damage and can protect teeth that are cracked or broken from further deterioration. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes to change the shape or positioning of teeth.

An artificial tooth that is kept in place by attaching it to two or more crowns placed on teeth surrounding the gap.

Benefit and Description: Bridges are used when one or more teeth are missing. Bridges help maintain normal function and bite. Porcelain, metals, or combinations are used to construct bridges.

A partial denture is made of plastic teeth attached to a metal framework which can be removed from your mouth.

Benefit and Description: Partial dentures are used when the teeth surrounding the gap created by missing teeth are not strong enough to support a bridge. A partial denture helps preserve the condition of your existing teeth.

Implants and implant restoratives can replace a missing tooth or missing teeth.

Benefit and Description: A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. Your jawbone fuses with the implant to provide a secure platform for prosthesis (artificial tooth). If you are missing many teeth, several implants can be used to support a partial or complete denture.  Implant treatment involves coordinated appointments between an oral surgeon who places the implant and Dr. Jones who places the implant restorative.

Hygiene Services

Benefit and Description: Children can get tooth decay at a very early age. "Baby bottle tooth decay" occurs when the child sleeps with a bottle in its mouth and the liquid pools around the new teeth. Space maintainers are needed in children that lose a primary tooth before the permanent is ready to break through. Space maintainers can prevent extensive orthodontic treatment later.
